A former NCAA singles champion while attending Baylor, the German Becker was the 2006 ATP Newcomer of the year after rocketing in to the Top 50 his first year on the tour. He is known for his dangerous serve and powerful groundstrokes.

The 20 year old 2nd year pro has ridden a recent 17 match win streak to a top 75 ranking. He just earned his first Grand Slam even win at Wimbledon and expects to continue his top form in Indianapolis.

College tennis star while at Harvard. Dropped out after his sophomore year to turn pro. Has since become a tennis star who consistently ranks among the Top 10 in the world.  Known for agility, quickness, and fast return that reminds many of Andre Agassi.

Simone is a 22 year old from Bologna, Italy. Bolelli has been on fire recently after reaching the round of 32 at Wimbledon and beating a Top 15 player. He is an occasional practice partner for world #1, Roger Federer,

Dancevic is the highest ranked singles player from Canada since 1999. Frank was a last minute addition to the Indianapolis field after coming off a win over top ten player David Nalbandian.

Alejandro Fall is a 24 year old Colombian lefty who has a penchant for upsetting top 10 players. He has shown flashes of brilliance and is always a threat what his world rank might suggest.

Ginepri is a former juniors number 1 player and the 2005 Indianapolis Tennis Championship winner. After slumping recently, Robby has rallied from a career low 112 ranking to his current 60 rank in the past 6 months.

The left-handed Australian burst onto the scene in 2004 after beating three top 100 players in his first tourney. Powered by a wicked serve and volley game, Guccione has shown flashes of brilliance and is a player to watch out for.

The 6'9 Isner is a former University of Georgia tennis superstar, leading them to a national runneru-up in 2006 and a NCAA championship in 2007. Isner is considered to have one of the best serves in tennis which in in part due to his height.

Coming off a few deep runs in Challenger tournaments this year, Kunitsyn has become a Top 100 player and is driven by his excellent baseline play and good groundstrokes. Trains with fellow Russian and ITC entrant Dmitry Tursunov.

A South Korean, Lee is one of only two Koreans on the ATP Tour. He has been a consistant tour player since turning pro in 1995. He has only 1 ATP Tour Title to his name but has maintained a 30-60 world ranking for quite some time.

The 26 year old Lopez is a consistant top 30 player. Lopez is a crafty player who is known for his good serve and crafty serve and volley game. He just reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon and is near his personal best world ranking of 20.

Lu is 75th ranked player in the world and the #2 player in all of Asia. In 2007 he cracked the Top 100 and has used his quick and crafty style to become a constant in the last year.

The French Mahut is a Top 75 player who excels in the serve and volley game. He is also an excellent doubles player and has won numerous doubles titles.

The 6'3 Scot is a consistant Top 20 player in the world and a current Top 10 player. He excels in serve and volley with a powerful serve and rangey court sense. Noticably improved, Murray has had his best year as a pro so far in 2008.

Nishikori is a japanese tennis star even at the tender age of 18. A hitting partner for Federer, A top 100 ranking, and an ATP event win at Del Ray Beach all in his first full year as a pro. Nishikori is one to look out for.

Odesnik is a young up and comer who relishes clay court matches. A great baseline game and solid groundstrokes, the 22 year old Odesnik is only getting better as he becomes a more aggressive player.

The 6'6 Querrey is thougth of by many as the next American tennis star. Only 20 years old, Querrey has solidified a Top 50 player and is powered by a huge serve and strong forehand game.

A former NCAA #1 singles player while at Vanderbilt, Reynolds has become a top 100 player and is coming off a great run at Wimbledon where he reached the third round.

One of the smallest players on the tour at 5'9 and 150lbs, Dudi relies on his speed, court sense, and defense for victory. The highest ranked Israeli on the ATP Tour, Sela is a solid Top 100 player.

Frenchman Gilles Simon turned pro in 2002 and has since become a Top 50 player. Mainly a defensive player, Simon relies on his court speed and baseline play to force errors and pick shots.

The 25 year old fun-loving Russian prankster came to America at the age of 12. Tursunov soon became a solid tennis pro. However, despite his flashes of top level play he has been career plagued by injuries and suffered a short career despite his age.

Considered by some to be the future of tennis, Young has been a pro since he was 14. A former Junior #1 player and tennis prodigy, Young is currently a top 100 player while only being 18. Could he be the next American tennis star?

The German Haas has been ranked as high as #2 in the world at times. A late addition to the Indy Tennis Championship, Tommy Haas has steadied out as a top 40 player recently. However, Haas is always a threat to win a tournament

Paul 'MC' Capdeville has been on a tear this year and worked his way into the Quarters at Indy. He is riding high and become a solid top 150 player in the last year.
